Focus on PCB 2026 – Meet the exhibitors: Avocet Electrofoils

Ahead of Focus on PCB 2026, we take a closer look at the key players in the next edition.

This time, we spoke with Maristel Jaime Salcedo, Marketing Executive at Avocet Electrofoils, who shared what participating at the show in Vicenza means and the company’s perspective on the challenges and opportunities shaping the PCB industry.

1. Avocet Electrofoils is recognized for its high-performance solutions in battery foil for advanced energy applications. What technological innovations are you developing to support the evolution of next-generation batteries, and what value do they bring to companies in the electronics and PCB sector?

At Avocet Electrofoils, we focus on supplying high-precision copper foil engineered for demanding battery and electronic applications. Our developments centre on improved thickness uniformity, tighter mechanical tolerances, and enhanced surface treatments that support higher energy density chemistries and more efficient current collection.
For PCB customers, these material improvements translate into greater reliability, improved thermal performance, and reduced defect rates, key factors as electronic devices become smaller, more powerful, and thermally demanding.

2. What convinced you to take part in Focus on PCB 2026, and what opportunities does this event offer compared to others?

We chose to participate in Focus on PCB 2026 because it is one of the few events in Europe dedicated entirely to the printed circuit board ecosystem. For us, it represents a valuable opportunity to engage directly with CCL manufacturers, PCB producers, and electronics companies who rely on high-quality copper foil as a foundation for their products.
The focused nature of the show allows for deeper technical discussions, better networking, and a more targeted audience compared to broader electronics fairs. It’s an ideal platform for us to present our capabilities and strengthen our presence in the European PCB supply chain.

3. From your perspective, what technological innovations or challenges are shaping the future of the PCB industry, and how is your company addressing these changes?

The PCB industry is being reshaped by the push toward miniaturisation, higher layer counts, and improved heat management. At the same time, Europe is prioritising supply-chain resilience and the localisation of key materials.
We support these trends by supplying copper foil with the purity, consistency, and mechanical performance required for advanced PCB architectures, including HDI and high-frequency applications. As OEMs demand thinner foils, tighter tolerances, and higher-performance materials, our focus remains on precision, traceability, and robust technical support to help customers overcome these challenges.
