Focus on PCB 2026 – Meet the exhibitors: IPSES

Ahead of Focus on PCB 2026, we take a closer look at the key players in the next edition.

This time, we spoke with Cinzia Mancuso, QA and QC manager at IPSES, who shared what participating at the show in Vicenza means and the company’s perspective on the challenges and opportunities shaping the PCB industry.

1. At Focus on PCB 2026, IPSES will also showcase solutions from XJTAG, SA Sistel, Hemargroup, and WATS. How does your role as an integrator of these technologies help your customers optimize PCB and PCBA processes, and which key solutions will you highlight during the exhibition?

IPSES brings its twenty years of experience in PCB-A and assembly end-of-line (EOL) testing to Focus on PCB 2026, along with an ecosystem of integrated solutions designed to turn testing into a competitive advantage.
As a technology partner and integrator, we combine expertise and tools from industry leaders to provide our customers with faster, more complete, and smarter testing processes. We are the exclusive distributors in Italy and technology partners of both XJTAG and SA Sistel (6TL). Through XJTAG, we offer high-performance boundary scan test solutions that significantly reduce debugging and testing times while increasing test coverage in highly complex situations with limited access. With 6TL, we provide flexible and robust modular hardware to create systems tailored to customer needs, whether offline, inline, or hybrid test platforms. IPSES is also Gold Partner of National Instruments, ensuring excellence in the design of scalable, modular test systems.
This year, Hemargroup, together with WATS, will also co-exhibit with IPSES. Hemargroup provides comprehensive solutions for electronic production. We have a long-standing collaboration with their Atewa division, which develops precision mechanics for testing—essential for ensuring robustness and repeatability. The recent partnership with WATS adds powerful software for monitoring and analyzing data from production test systems, improving traceability and overall infrastructure efficiency.
Our integrated approach allows customers to reduce testing times, increase coverage, improve quality, and gain a complete view of production processes, turning testing into a strategic asset.

2. What convinced you to take part in Focus on PCB 2026, and what opportunities does this event offer compared to others?

We chose to participate in Focus on PCB 2026 because it is the only event in Italy entirely dedicated to the world of printed circuit boards. For IPSES, which has been designing EOL testing systems and integrating innovative testing solutions for over 20 years, this exhibition represents a unique opportunity to meet key players in the supply chain and showcase our integrated approach. Compared to other events, Focus on PCB allows us to reach a highly qualified audience of professionals in the PCB and PCBA sector, with opportunities to strengthen long-standing partnerships and initiate new collaborations.

3. From your perspective, what technological innovations or challenges are shaping the future of the PCB industry, and how is your company addressing these changes?

The future of the PCB industry is driven by three major factors: miniaturization, increasing complexity, and process digitalization.
PCBs are becoming increasingly component-dense, with smaller formats and advanced technologies such as BGA and high-speed devices. This makes traditional testing more challenging and drives the need for innovative solutions, with ever-shorter time-to-market.
The main challenges we face are:
Limited access to test points → requiring non-intrusive techniques such as boundary scan.
Reduced production times → demanding fast, automated, modular, and easily configurable and reconfigurable testing solutions.
Traceability and data analysis → essential to ensure quality and compliance.
We address these changes with integrated solutions developed through strategic partnerships. Our goal is to anticipate market needs, offering solutions that make testing not only more efficient but also a key element for competitiveness and quality.
