Focus on PCB 2026 – Meet the exhibitors: Abeba
Ahead of Focus on PCB 2026, we take a closer look at the key players in the next edition.
This time, we spoke with Dominic Wirtz, Export Manager, and Giovanni Castello, Sales representative at Abeba, who shared what participating at the show in Vicenza means and the company’s perspective on the challenges and opportunities shaping the PCB industry.
1. Abeba is internationally recognized for its ESD footwear and solutions designed to protect people and production processes in electronic environments. At Focus on PCB 2026, which products or technologies will you highlight, and how do these solutions help PCB and PCBA manufacturers improve safety, reduce the risk of electrostatic discharge, and ensure reliability during critical production phases?
Abeba will showcase ESD work shoes particularly suited for the electronics manufacturing sector, where electrostatic discharge must comply with strict regulatory parameters and where controlled environments, such as cleanrooms, require minimal particle release to guarantee the highest production quality.
This strong product focus does not compromise safety or comfort for the operator. On the contrary, we believe that the more comfortable the footwear is, the more productive the operator will be.
2. What convinced you to take part in Focus on PCB 2026, and what opportunities does this event offer compared to others?
We decided to participate in Focus on PCB after reviewing and analyzing visitor data from the 2025 edition. Based on this analysis, we believe the event offers us an excellent opportunity to further increase our visibility in Italy for our high-quality ESD footwear.
3. From your perspective, what developments or challenges related to ESD protection and production process safety are shaping the future of PCB and PCBA production lines, and how does Abeba support companies in addressing them?
As PCB and PCBA products become increasingly advanced and complex, production environments and equipment — including ESD footwear — must meet ever more demanding requirements. For this reason, Abeba is increasingly specializing in the production of footwear suitable for EPA areas, sterile environments, and cleanrooms, including those with particularly stringent parameters.
In addition, to help prevent and reduce potential defects, upon customer request we can integrate a traceability system into the footwear. This allows tracking of the operator who worked on the product or controlling access to sensitive production areas. Reducing errors ultimately translates into savings in both time and costs.
